LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Twenty five years ago I met the love of my life. My best friend, my love and my wife. Michelle was truly a remarkable and amazing woman of God. We been married for 17 years. She blessed me with two beautiful daughters ages 5 and 10. I truly wish I had more time to enjoy and experience all that life had in store for us as a family but unfortunately as a write this right now, which is one of the hardest thing for me to do, my wife passed away on 8/19/24 from stage 4 colon cancer that pretty much spread all over her body.

You see, 5 years ago…. our family diagnosed her wrong by saying she had pregnancy hemorrhoids. Every time I brought my wife there because she wasn’t feeling well the Dr kept on saying it was due to pregnancy hemorrhoids.

However, when her body started to breakdown right before my very eyes I took her immediately to the hospital where the Dr’s there shared with us that my wife had stage 4 colon cancer. When we heard this diagnosis, it felt like our world came crushing down. Since then, both I and my mother in law brought her many times throughout the week for her chemotherapy treatments in Englewood Hospital, NJ. Everyone at the hospital loved Michelle and were very attentive and caring to what she was going through at that time. This was around the time of Covid and I remember that there was a certain time that it became mandatory for her to continue to get her treatments, she needed to get her covid 19 shots. Not sure how this helped but with all the chemotherapy and covid 19 shots, her body kept on getting weaker and weaker. Her immune system was indeed comprised.

Nevertheless, we remained hopeful and positive to the very end until she breathed her last breath. As I write this, it grieves my heart greatly but I guess it is also good for my healing and it’s also good for me to have a page where my children and I can remember her always.

I remember clearly when we use to shoot weddings together, it seems like it was almost yesterday when we worked on growing our business together. It was so much fun working alongside her and now, when I shoot a wedding, it fills my heart with so much joy knowing that this was something that my wife and I did and enjoyed doing together. Capturing the love that our couples have for each other, reminds me of the love that we shared for each other.
